How to build Salome on FreeBSD

This instruction helps you to build Salome version 5.1.3 on FreeBSD platform.

  1. First of all — cvsup your ports tree

  2. Install /usr/ports/cad/opencascade (from package, or if you have a lot of time and disk space — from ports)

  3. Install /usr/ports/math/vtk5 with GL2PS knobs ON

  4. Extract this and try to begin build with metaport: /usr/ports/cad/salome

  5. use runSalome.csh to begin work !

  6. Feedback to ?
